ICEEA-2026 & ICETS-2026 Conference

This Copyright Policy governs the intellectual property rights related to all materials, presentations, papers, and content submitted to or presented at the International Conference on Earth and Environment in Anthropocene (ICEEA-2026) and 18th International Congress on Environmental & Territorial Studies (ICETS-2026).

1. Copyright Ownership

1.1 Author Rights

Authors retain the copyright to their submitted papers, abstracts, presentations, and other original works. By submitting materials to ICEEA-2026/ICETS-2026, authors confirm that:

  • They are the original creators of the work or have obtained necessary permissions
  • The work does not infringe on any existing copyrights
  • They have the authority to grant publication rights
  • All co-authors have agreed to the submission and publication

1.2 Conference Rights

By submitting work to the conference, authors grant ICEEA-2026/ICETS-2026:

  • Non-exclusive rights to publish papers in conference proceedings
  • Rights to distribute materials through Springer Book Publication and Scopus Indexed Journal
  • Permission to create and distribute abstract books
  • Rights to archive materials in digital repositories
  • Permission to use abstracts and titles for promotional purposes

1.3 Third-Party Content

Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any third-party materials (images, figures, tables, lengthy quotes) included in their submissions. Proper attribution must be provided for all borrowed content.

2. Publication Rights and Licensing

2.1 Open Access Options

Conference proceedings will be published with the following licensing options:

Option A: Creative Commons CC BY 4.0

  • Allows free sharing and adaptation with attribution
  • Most flexible option for readers and researchers
  • Promotes wider dissemination of research

Option B: Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0

  • Free sharing with attribution for non-commercial purposes
  • Restricts commercial use
  • Suitable for authors concerned about commercial exploitation

Option C: Traditional Copyright (All Rights Reserved)

  • Standard copyright protection
  • Reproduction requires permission from authors
  • May limit research dissemination

2.2 Publisher Agreements

Published papers in Springer Book and Scopus Indexed Journal will be subject to the respective publishers &apos copyright transfer or licensing agreements. Authors will be notified of specific terms during the publication process.

3. Conference Materials Copyright

3.1 Presentation Materials

  • Oral Presentations: Speakers retain copyright to their slides and presentation materials
  • Poster Presentations: Authors retain copyright to poster designs and content
  • Conference Recordings: Video/audio recordings of presentations are jointly owned by authors and conference organizers

3.2 Conference Website Content

All content on the ICEEA-2026 website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of:

  • Central University of Karnataka (CUK)
  • Olewin Tech Solutions (website development)
  • Conference organizing committee

Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited.

3.3 Logo and Branding

The ICEEA-2026 and ICETS-2026 logos, conference name, and branding materials are protected trademarks. Use without written permission is not permitted.

4. Plagiarism and Academic Integrity

Zero Tolerance Policy

ICEEA-2026/ICETS-2026 has zero tolerance for plagiarism and copyright infringement. All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software.

4.1 Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes but is not limited to:

  • Copying text from other sources without proper citation
  • Paraphrasing without attribution
  • Self-plagiarism (reusing own previously published work without disclosure)
  • Fabrication or falsification of data
  • Unauthorized use of images, figures, or tables

4.2 Consequences of Plagiarism

Immediate Actions:

  • Rejection of submission
  • Removal from conference program
  • Notification to authors institution

Long-term Consequences:

  • Ban from future conferences
  • Retraction if already published
  • Reporting to relevant authorities

4.3 Proper Citation Guidelines

Authors must follow standard citation practices:

  • Use consistent citation style (APA, IEEE, Vancouver, etc.)
  • Cite all sources, including websites and datasets
  • Use quotation marks for direct quotes
  • Obtain permissions for extensive quotations (typically 300 words)

5. Copyright Infringement Reporting

5.1 DMCA Compliance

ICEEA-2026 complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar international copyright laws. If you believe your copyright has been infringed, please contact us immediately.

5.2 Notice of Infringement

To file a copyright infringement notice, please provide:

  • Your contact information (name, address, email, phone)
  • Description of the copyrighted work
  • Location of the infringing material
  • Statement of good faith belief that use is unauthorized
  • Statement that information provided is accurate
  • Physical or electronic signature

6. Permission Requests

6.1 Using Conference Materials

To request permission to use conference materials (beyond fair use), please submit a written request including:

  • Format and medium of distribution
  • Geographic territory
  • Duration of use

6.2 Fair Use Doctrine

Limited use of copyrighted materials may be permitted under fair use doctrine for:

  • Educational purposes
  • Research and scholarship
  • Criticism and commentary
  • News reporting

Note: Fair use is determined on a case-by-case basis considering purpose, nature, amount used, and market effect.

7. Multimedia Content Rights

7.1 Photography and Videography

  • Official conference photographs are owned by ICEEA-2026
  • Participants consent to being photographed at public sessions
  • Professional photographers must obtain written permission
  • Recordings of presentations require speaker consent

7.2 Social Media Sharing

Participants are encouraged to share conference experiences on social media with proper attribution:
